Protest at Circuit City Union Square, 14th Street, Manhattan Circuit City recently announced that they would be laying-off 3,400 workers and “giving them” the opportunity to re-apply for their jobs. The new jobs however will be at a much lower wage. This is an outrageous anti-worker attack that must be answered. |

Hundreds to Protest Minutemen Leader Speaking at NYU. In response to the presence of Chris Simcox, founder and leader of Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, as a speaker at a College Republicans' event being held at New York University (NYU), hundreds of students, labor leaders, and immigrant organizers will rally outside of NYU's Kimmel Center to speak-out against the Minutemen and in favor of immigrant rights.
